  Welcome to the 2007 - 2008 Hilberry Season

Experience the Thrill of Live Theatre!

Founded in 1963, the Hilberry Theatre is home to the nation’s first graduate repertory company.  This cultural institution presents six classic plays in an 8-month season.  The Hilberry has been honored with numerous awards by the Detroit newspapers as well as may individual awards for company members.

This season, playing in rotating repertory, are:
The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) , by Jess Borgeson, Adam Long and Daniel Singer, Oct. 5 - Dec. 15
The Lusty and Comical History of Tom Jones , by John Morrison, Oct. 26 - Jan. 26
Biloxi Blues , by Neil Simon, Nov 16 - Mar. 15
As You Like It , by William Shakespeare, Jan. 11 - Apr. 12
The Master Builder , by Henrik Ibsen, Feb. 22 - May 17
Compleat Female Stage Beauty , by Jeffrey Hatcher, Apr. 4 - May 9

Box Office Information
Hilberry Theatre Box Office: 313-577-2972
The box office for all three theatres is located at the Hilberry, 4743 Cass Ave., at the corner of Hancock.  To provide better service to all our patrons, no tickets for advance dates are sold during the half-hour prior to a performance.

The box office is open beginning Oct. 4, Tuesday through Saturday from noon until 6pm, with extended hours until 8pm on performance evenings (Thursday – Saturday).  Please call for summer hours.

Hearing Devices
Personal listening devices for persons with hearing disabilities are available on a first come, first served basis at both the Hilberry and Bonstelle Theatres.  There is no charge for the service.

Wheel Chair Seating
Wheelchair seating is limited the Hilberry theatre.  An exterior ramp on Hancock leads to the Hilberry lobby, and a wheelchair lift provides access to the theatre.  Please call the box office in advance if special access will be needed.

Some plays may contain content that may not be suitable for all audiences.  Please ask at the box office about the suitability of a play when placing your ticket order. Children under the age of five are not permitted.
